“Hey there, welcome to the description of ‘MASKING’, I hope you are feeling okay, are you okay? A performance attempting to describe the deep and gloomy pits of one's internal reality. One being me, Lola, it's about Lola’s quest to absolute existential orgasm, follow Lola and me down the sticky road of topics like: Intrusive thoughts, social masking, addiction and much more! You will sit in your little chair while Lola, Ture, Silke, Nina and me doing all the work for 25 minutes! A perfect length of the piece for the human attention span!
With the use of contemporary circus and stage art, mime, jazz drums, 3D printed Masks, original sound scape and music, a Follow spot and a cocktail of dark and light humour – we create a window into the world of the internal experience of somebody called Lola. Lola also being a real person that has been making absurd comedy for years that have slowly become more personal, and now this is directly inspired by Lola’s mental state.
At the end of the day, we are stuck in our own heads, there is not much that we can do.Not to demonize our reality, I just want to know what life is like for you.What’s the probability that life for you is like life for me, I don’t know.
Why is the reality of sanity so slippery, is this just the natural progression.
