Masterclass with Giuvlipen
Wednesday, 15 January 2025, 14:00–16:00 Location: Aveny-T
The masterclass with actor and director Mihaela Dragan and actor Zita Moldovan from the performing arts group Guivlipen is a unique opportunity to gain insight into working with biographical material as artistic material.
About Giuvlipen
Giuvlipen means feminism in the Romani language and is the first independent Roma feministtheater company in Romania. The themes of the performances are diverse, but they all have something in common: they openly discuss topics that history, mentality and social or political constraints have often silenced. In each show, they seek to reclaim the art, history and cultural identity of Roma, through stories told by Roma artists themselves. Giuvlipen was established in 2014 by actresses Mihaela Dragan and Zita Moldovan.
Limited number of participants.
Registration for: kontakt.dfff@gmail.com (before 8th of January)

bastard nordic – open workshop Copenhagen
Friday, January 17, 14:00–15:00 at Aveny-T, meeting room
Bastard nordic visits Det Frie Felts Festival 2025 in Copenhagen. They will conduct an open workshop on the written documentation of performances and facilitate five artist talks at the festival. Through these activities, they aim to discuss the question of writing about/documenting performing arts, as well as the necessity of doing so. They will also explore how to reach the right target audiences/readers. How can one write about an art form that exists outside of language, such as dance and choreography? In the workshop, they will address the current situation in the field and explore possible paths forward. Everyone is welcome to join the open workshop at Det Frie Felts Festival in Copenhagen! Bastard is an independent platform and forum for experimental performing arts, performance art, choreography, and cross-disciplinary art practices. Bastard experiments with text formats as a public laboratory, attempting to develop and create space for a language that supports these art practices, which challenge traditional art forms. Additionally, Bastard publishes performance texts.
